2018 Bynder x OnBrand Video Awards Terms & Conditions

1, This year’s Bynder x OnBrand Video Awards aims to recognize the most outstanding branded video content of 2017 & 2018 in Europe.
2, The contest is open to all eligible entrants, worldwide, over the age of 18.
3, Every entrant must submit a video on behalf of a company.
4, Submissions can either be standalone brand videos or videos used in a 360-marketing campaign. The video submission can be from an existing brand campaign or a new project.
5, Each video must be between 60-180 seconds in length.
6, Entries open May 31, 2018. Entrants must submit their video before August 15, 2018, 23h59.
7, The video must not infringe any rights of publicity or privacy, moral rights or intellectual property rights, be defamatory or indecent, or violate any applicable laws. Entrants declare that:
a. they are fully authorized to submit the video of behalf of the indicated company;
b. the work submitted is an original work and does not infringe any third party’s rights such as copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets including musical composition or performance rights, video rights or image rights;
c. all visible participants in the video have acknowledged the present terms and conditions and consented to the video being displayed and broadcasted publicly; and
d. in case minors are visible, their parents must have acknowledged the present terms and conditions and agreed to their children appearing in the video.
8, Entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, false, lost, late, misdirected, deceptive or otherwise not in compliance with these terms and conditions may be disqualified from the contest at Bynder’s sole and absolute discretion.
9, Each entrant is allowed to submit one video. If an entrant submits multiple videos, this entrant will be disqualified from the contest.
10, All entries will be examined by a panel of judges based on the following criteria:
Use of storytelling (30%)
Strength of branding (30%)
Level of creativity (20%)
Quality of production (20%)
According to those criteria the judges will make a final decision on the winning video for the Bynder x OnBrand Video Awards.
11, Bynder will announce the shortlist of Top 20 video campaigns (consist of submissions and non-submissions (videos found & chosen by our jury) on September 1st, 2018. The Top 5 will be announced on September 10th, 2018. The winner will be personally contacted. The winner must confirm acceptance of the prize. If a winner does not respond within two (2) days of being notified, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and then Bynder will be entitled to select the second runner-up as the winner. On October 11, 2018, the winner will be announced officially. The winner will also be awarded on the main stage of OnBrand 2018.
12, The winner of the Bynder x OnBrand Video Awards wins, besides the award, two tickets to OnBrand in Amsterdam. The winner will also receive a travel voucher worth 2000 euros, paid by Bynder. It is the responsibility of the winner to decide how it will be used.
13, All entrants who made it to the Top 5, will win two tickets each to OnBrand.
14, Bynder may, in its sole discretion, suspend or terminate the contest by posting a notice online.
15, Bynder reserves the right to replace Bynder x OnBrand Video Awards with alternative prizes of the same value.
16, Under no circumstances shall Bynder be liable for any direct, indirect damages, incidental or consequential damages, including without limitation, property damage, personal injury and/or death, resulting from participation in the contest or acceptance, use or misuse of any prize.
17, By entering and participating in the contest, entrant agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Bynder, its personnel and agents, from and against all claims, demands, liability arising out of or in connection with your video, the contest or the prizes awarded and any other of your acts or omissions or any information which you provided.
18, Under GDPR, entrants must check somewhere during the subscription process the checkboxes mentioned hereunder:
Yes, I agree that you can store my email and contact me about my video submission.
Yes, I agree that you can share my organization's video on the OnBrand event website and social media channels for marketing purposes.
19, Winners may be required to participate in publicity related to the OnBrand Award and Popularity Award which may include the publication of their name and photograph in any media.
20, These terms and conditions shall be governed by the Laws of the Netherlands, and any dispute shall be submitted for final and binding arbitration pursuant to the Arbitration Rules of the Netherlands Arbitration Institute (NAI).
21, By submitting a video the entrants grants to Bynder a non-exclusive, royalty free, perpetual, worldwide license to display and broadcast the video publicly and use the video to feature any or all of the submitted materials in any and all media for publicity and marketing purposes. The License shall cover Bynder’s use of the Video in online videos including, but not limited to, YouTube, Vimeo and Bynder websites.
22, By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
